Kurata Art Conservation is a paintings conservation studio based in Port St. Lucie, Florida, providing conservation, restoration, and consultation services for artworks in both private and public collections.
The studio is owned and directed by Hiroya Kurata, who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design and began his conservation training through an apprenticeship with conservator Peter Tobey in New York in 2007, later becoming the studio’s senior art conservator. In addition, Hiroya has completed advanced professional conservation training through the Hornemann Institute in Germany, focusing on conservation theory, preventive care, and material deterioration.
With over fifteen years of hands-on experience treating thousands of paintings — from Old Master works to contemporary art — Kurata Art Conservation brings deep technical expertise and refined craftsmanship to every project.
